Introduction to NUMECA OMNIS 4.1
Overview
NUMECA OMNIS 4.1 is a software program designed for simulating the flow of gases, both internally and externally around bodies. It comes equipped with a preprocessor, processor (solver), and post-processor modules, known as OMNIS / HEXPRESS and OMNIS / Open, to streamline the simulation process.
Features
- Import and edit CAD geometry models
- Dynamic meshing capabilities
- Geometry restoration tools for tasks such as opening covers, stretching edges, and removing elements
- Creation of settlement domains and definition of multiple settlement problems
- Option to choose between hybrid and full HEX mesh configurations
- Various mesh detail modes for customization
- Grid editing and analysis with quality histograms and color contouring
- Export grids in multiple formats compatible with NUMECA solvers and third-party solvers like ANSYS Fluent, CFX, OpenFoam, and Siemens Star CCM+
- CFD simulations in mono-domain with ideal gas
- Utilization of solvers HEXPRESS and LB
- Support for multiprocessor and cluster computing
