Introduction to DLUBAL Plate Buckling 8.24.02
DLUBAL Plate Buckling 8.24.02 is a software available as an add-on module for RFEM/RSTAB or as a separate stand-alone program. This software performs plate buckling analysis of rectangular plates according to various standards such as EN 1993-1-5:2006 and DIN 18800-3:1990-11.
Overview
Designs in DLUBAL Plate Buckling 8.24.02 are carried out through iterative steps by eigenvalue calculation, considering ideal buckling values for individual stress conditions and simultaneous effects of all stress components. The analysis is based on the method of reduced stresses, comparing acting stresses with a limit stress condition reduced from the yield condition of von Mises for each buckling panel.
Features
- Import of relevant internal forces from RFEM/RSTAB
- Summary of stresses in load cases with determination of governing load
- Separate materials for stiffener and plate
- Import of stiffeners from an extensive library
- Determination of effective widths according to standards
- Calculation of critical local buckling stresses
- Designs of longitudinal and transverse stiffeners
- Consideration of buckling effects according to specific equations
- Photo-realistic representation of buckling panel with 3D rendering
- Documentation of all input data and results in a printout report
Use Cases
DLUBAL Plate Buckling 8.24.02 can be used for analyzing plate buckling in various engineering and structural design projects where accurate buckling analysis is required.
